Introduction:

Computed tomography coronary angiography is feasible with multidetector row CT (MDCT) scanners and involves the simultaneous acquisition of scan data and an EKG tracing. Images can be retrospectively generated from all points through the cardiac cycle for 4D images to visualize myocardial contractility and valve motion. Cardiac valves can be easily imaged to evaluate their morphology and motion. This exhibit demonstrates the feasibility of using gated MDCT to assess the aortic valve.
