Some sections of this site use plug-ins to deliver multimedia content. The 3D Vascular Atlas includes QuickTime VR movies that simulate volume rendered data sets. The Coffee Break uses the Macromedia Flash plug-in. Also, the radio station linked from the main page uses the RealPlayer G2 plug-in. All of these plug-ins are free and may be downloaded by following the links below.

The links to view larger version of the CT images on this site use JavaScript. Your browser must support JavaScript in order to be able to view the images. These browsers are free and may be downloaded by following the links listed.

You need to have JavaScript enabled on your browser in order to view many images on this site. To check this
  • in Netscape choose: Edit/Preferences/Advanced. Make sure that the "Enable Javascript" checkbox is checked.
  • in Internet Explorer go to: View/Internet Options/Advanced. Make sure that the Java JIT compiler checkbox is checked.


The page must be fully loaded to view the pop up images. If you experience problems with a page try reloading the page.
  • To do this in Netscape go under View/ Reload in the pull-down menu of your browser.
  • To do this in Internet Explorer go under View/ Refresh in the pull-down menu of your browser.
  • To do this in the AOL browser click on the AOL browser reload button.
If the problem persists you may need to clear your browser's cache and then reload the page.
  • To do this in Netscape go under Edit/ Preferences/ Advanced/ in the pull-down menu of your browser and click on "Cache" Click on the button that says "Clear disk cache". Then reload the page.
  • To do this in Internet Explorer go under View/ Internet Preferences in the browser pull-down menu and press the "Delete Temporary Internet Files" button. Then reload the page.
  • To do this in the AOL browser hold down the Shift key while clicking on the AOL browser reload button.
