Comment:

  • We routinely scan the patient caudal to cranially to optimize the patient's breathhold.
  • A key to detecting a P.E. is careful attention to proper filming technique. If images are too bright you can miss a P.E
  • It is often easier to read these studies on a workstation than on film.
